Elberton Hill Farm is situated in the beautiful rolling hills of Darlington, Maryland, with panoramic views down to the Susquehanna River. The land was owned by early Hopkins ancestors, dating back to Gerrard Hopkins in 1658. It is located 7 miles from I-95, between Baltimore and Wilmington. It is easily accessible to all major east coast farms and race tracks. The farm is recorded in the Land Preservation Bank.

Frank and Martha Hopkins and their four children have lived on Elberton Hill Farm since 1965. Frank Jr., Mike, Boo and Amy have grown up being a part of the thoroughbred
horse operation. They have always been involved with the breeding and maintenance of the farm. Part of the boys' training was to go with Windfields Farm to Saratoga for 3 summers to attend the sales in August when they were 10 and 12 years old. Today, they all still reside on the farm.

Frank, Jr. is with the National Steeplechase Association as Field Director. Mike is Director of the Maryland Racing Commission and works as Chief Steward for the Maryland Jockey Club when needed. Amy Hopkins Daney has been manager of the farm for 15 years. Amy's husband, Michael, is an equine attorney in Baltimore.

Frank Hopkins, Sr. served two terms as a member of the Maryland Racing Commission. He was also on the Cecil County Breeders Board and the Fair Hill International Board. Previously he was vice president of the Maryland Horse Breeders and served on the original Maryland Million Board.
